Scry99 is a hobby project for building Magic: The Gathering decks and tracking a card collection. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

Account details: your email address and password (handled by our authentication provider), and an optional display name.
If you sign in with Google or Apple: the provider shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use your email address to identify your account and your first name as your starting display name, which you can change. We don’t use your profile picture, we never see your Google or Apple password, and we don’t ask for access to anything else in your account.
Your content: the decks, collection (“binder”) and wishlist data you create in the app, and the comments you post.
Game results: when a winner is recorded at a table you played at, we keep the result with the deck you played, to show that deck’s record. Only you can see your own results.
Messages and connections: direct messages you send to other players, who you follow, who you are friends with, and who you have blocked.

How we use it

We use this data only to provide the service: to sign you in and to save and display your decks and collection. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

Third-party services

Supabase: authentication and database hosting (stores your account and your decks/collection).
Google and Apple: only if you choose to sign in with them. They tell us who you are; we don’t send them your decks, collection or anything else about how you use Scry99.
Vercel: application hosting.
Scryfall: card data and prices. We send card names and identifiers to fetch card information; we do not send your identity.
EDHREC and Commander Spellbook: community deck statistics and the combo database. We request public pages by commander name or card name; we do not send your identity or your decklists.

Deck grading runs entirely on our own servers. Your decklists are not sent to any AI service. Earlier versions of Scry99 sent them to Google and Anthropic to produce grades, and that no longer happens.

Public decks, comments and shared lists

If you mark a deck “public,” its contents and your display name become visible to anyone with the link and may be indexed by search engines. Set a deck back to private at any time to remove public access. Comments you post on a public deck are visible to anyone who can see the deck.

If you turn on sharing for your wishlist or your spare cards, that list (card names, sets, quantities and prices) is visible to anyone with its link, and your profile links to it. Shared lists are not indexed by search engines. Turn sharing off at any time to make the list private again.

Direct messages

Direct messages are private between you and the person you are writing to. They are never public, never shown on a deck page, and are not indexed by search engines. They are stored on our database so that both of you can read the conversation later, and the database’s access rules are written so that no other user of the site can read them, moderators included.

If you report a player, the moderators see what you write in the report and the two accounts involved; they do not gain access to the conversation itself. Either of you can delete a message you sent, which removes it for both of you. Blocking somebody stops them messaging you, following you, or commenting on your decks; the person blocked is not told.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete individual decks and cards at any time, and unsend any message you have sent. A deleted deck goes to Archived first, where you can restore it or delete it for good. You can delete your whole account from your Account page; that permanently removes your decks, binder, wishlist, messages and everything else tied to it, including any data received from Google or Apple. You can also ask us to do it at the address below.
